Selwyn House is an independent primary school offering education from Years 1 – 8 and a co-educational Preschool. Our curriculum is based on the International Baccalaureate Programme (PYP), which teaches continuous inquiry and empowers our students with the skills, knowledge, courage, and optimism to embrace our school values: Curious, Courageous, Resilient and Inspirational.

Our school is looking for a caring and engaging teacher aide/learning assistant for 35 hours per week,  until 10 December 2025, who can provide a high level of collaboration to join our amazing Learning Enhancement Team and teaching colleagues. 

Students and staff at Selwyn House collaborate to provide a high level of engagement for all, providing a dynamic educational environment. The teacher aide may support learners and teachers in achieving this across Years 1 – 8, with the view to be closely linked to one teaching team.

The successful candidate will:

• Be enthusiastic about assisting all learners
• Have experience with supporting children’s literacy
• Display patience, understanding and discretion   
• Be flexible, well-prepared, and able to take the initiative
• Be passionate about, and ideally have prior experience or knowledge about primary education in general
• Be reliable
• Enjoy working within a team environment
