Enrolment Process
We welcome and invite all prospective families to learn more about the school by visiting and experiencing first-hand why Selwyn House School is the best decision you can make regarding her education.

Registering Interest
A family may register their interest and to learn more about Selwyn House School at any time by completing this form.
Families are encouraged to submit their information as early as possible and direct any questions to enrolments@selhouse.school.nz.
If you would like to apply to the Pre-school, an additional application will need to be completed.
Apply
We encourage you to submit an Application for Enrolment as soon as possible for entry into Selwyn House School.
A completed Application for Enrolment includes:
Copy of the student's Full Birth Certificate
Evidence of NZ Citizenship or Residency of the student (if not born in New Zealand); e.g. New Zealand Passport, Citizenship Certificate
Copy of the most recent school report (if applicable)
- Additional supporting documentation (if applicable)

Please schedule a Personal Tour or register for an Open Day to learn more about Selwyn House School.
Personal tours are offered Monday - Thursday during the school term, please allow one hour for a personal tour. Please book online to schedule your tour.
Open Days are held twice a year, please register to attend.
Domestic Students
As a part of the enrolment process, all domestic applicants and their families have an interview with the Principal. Interviews can occur both in-person and online.
Interviews for New Entrants & Year 1 are held once the child(ren) are 4 years old.
Applicants for Years 2-8 are required to attend an Experience Day as well. Please note the interview with the Principal and the Experience Morning may not be the same day.
International Students
Offer of Place
Successful domestic and international applicants will be sent an Offer of Place and additional details. A confirmation fee is required to secure the enrolment space for the child(ren).
Starting School
Before starting at Selwyn House School, New Entrant and Year 1 students, participate in Playgroup and our Transition to School Programme.
All new students will schedule a school uniform appointment, receive information relevant to their entry year level and receive their school stationery pack on their first day. Students are also matched with a classroom buddy to help with this transition.
