Founded in 1929
In 1921, parents and educators were inspired by Charlotte Mason’s educational philosophy.
In 1929, Queen Philippa’s School was reopened as Selwyn House P.N.E.U. School, initially enrolling seven boys and 51 girls. The school offered a broad curriculum, including specialist staff in musical appreciation, art, and voice production. During the early years, the school catered for girls from six to 18 years of age and boys up to nine years of age.
Since 2008, the International Baccalaureate Primary Year Programme (IB PYP) has been offered at Selwyn House School. Today, the School is an all-girls full primary school (Years 1 - 8) with a co-education Pre-school and continues to uphold its founding principles by nurturing each student's intellectual, emotional and personal growth.
