Curriculum

Selwyn House Pre-School offers fully-qualified teachers in a rich programme that includes:

  • Swimming lessons
  • Specialist Spanish classes
  • Music sessions
  • A perceptual motor programme
  • Access to the school’s facilities including the ICT computer suite

We offer two areas, a 2 ½ to 4 year-old space and a 4 to 5 year-old space, to cater for the needs of all the children and one that stimulates their natural curiosity along with a team of experienced teachers to provide opportunities that provoke their questioning and exploration and a deeper level of thinking.

The children often work in groups where they’re encouraged to discuss, critique, compare, hypothesise and problem-solve together. Investigation work can last a week, or even continue throughout the year, and learning becomes an adventure as different subjects and topics are explored together.
