THREE GIRLS from Banks Peninsula are going to the United States to represent their schools in an international problem solving competition. Hermione Murden, 12, plans to attend the finals, representing Selwyn House. She will compete in the junior division of the competition. The competition will take place at Wisconsin University from June 3 to 14 and involves more than 2200 young people from around the world. The topic for this year’s competition is biosecurity. It involves the participants combining their knowledge in science, social and ethical issues.
