Years 7 and 8 are a crucial time for girls’ development and our programme focuses on the intellectual, physical and emotional well being of students at this stage to ensure a smooth transition to Secondary School.
Our Senior School programme, which is exciting and demanding both inside and outside the classroom, aims to help our students reach their full potential as learners and leaders at the school. The Senior School experience continues to be a partnership among students, teachers and families.
When our Year 6 girls commence in Year 7, they are already adept at structuring their inquiries; assessing what they have learned and what they still need to learn; and planning their next learning steps. They respect the viewpoints of others and have a growing sense of the issues facing the world. These students are thoroughly prepared for Year 7 in which the IB's Middle Years Programme philosophy has become integral. New girls at this level are absorbed quickly into the learning structure, and supported in their new environment.
