in the team Medley Relay event - three Canterbury titles – a hugely
successful meet for Lucy!  Lucy has also now qualified for the New
Zealand Juniors in these three events.

Mya Graham also swam in the 11 & 12 Year old division, made finals in
3 events and has now qualified for 8 events for the New Zealand Junior

The New Zealand Junior Championships begin on the 18 February and we
wish these girls all the best for this event.

Charlotte Lee came runner up in the under 14 Marlborough Junior Tennis
Open – quite an achievement considering she is only 11!

Congratulations to all the girls.

Tree of Caring

Every year at Christmas we take time to think about how we can support children in the community who are less fortunate than us. We have a tradition of having a ‘Tree of Caring’ and ask the girls to bring an unwrapped present for another child the same age to place under the tree.

The ‘Tree of Caring’ is one way to demonstrate the caring and globally-minded girls we strive to develop through the International Baccalaureate Programme.

The City Mission was very grateful for the gifts as it had been a tough year for them to provide assistance in the community. Our gifts will bring smiles to the faces of many children in Christchurch on Christmas Day.

I would like to thank everyone for supporting this tradition.
